A free food log for your patients
Healthy Choices helps people log what they eat between visits. It is a wellness app, not part of your EHR and not a medical device.
What it does
- Photo, voice, or text meal logging, grounded in the USDA food database. Patients can review and correct matches before saving.
- A daily summary against goals: calories, carbs, fiber, protein, and added sugar.
- Apple Health activity and sleep in the same place. Optional lab uploads if the patient wants habits and numbers together.
What it is not
- Not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition.
- Nothing is sent to your practice automatically.
- The patient chooses whether to show their daily summary on their phone at an appointment.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy states that we never sell health data to third parties. The app and website may show ads through Google (AdMob in the app, AdSense on the site). We do not claim the product is ad-free.
Who it fits
Patients you have already told to change how they eat: prediabetes, weight management, blood pressure, or nutrition support during GLP-1 therapy. That describes who often benefits from a simple log. It is not a claim that the app treats those conditions.
How to use it
Ask the patient to log meals for about two weeks, then bring their daily summary on their phone to the next visit. You can point them to the free iOS app on the App Store.

Gary Isse built Healthy Choices after a diabetes diagnosis. Logging what he ate changed his numbers. He has 24+ years in software. His Stanford AI & Longevity Lab certificate is a personal credential only, not Stanford endorsing the app. Full story
